Overview
Once MoKabb was running, the operation needed its own back office. Finance Manager is the internal web application that consolidates the money side of every MoKabb service — rides, vehicle rental, excursions and international calls — in one place, in French and in English.
The problem
The platform produced trips, the accounts lived in spreadsheets, and nobody could say with confidence what a given day had actually earned. Driver wallet top-ups were tracked by hand, and the commission owed on each ride had to be recomputed every month.
Objectives
Give the operation a single, reliable financial view — one that reads the platform's real trips rather than a re-entered copy of them.
The solution
A Next.js application organised in eleven modules across three areas: the ride-hailing side (drivers, rides), the services side (vehicle rental, excursions, international calls) and the accounting side. Platform accounting is computed read-only from the platform's actual trips and displayed alongside the manually entered turnover, never as a replacement for it — so a discrepancy is visible instead of silently absorbed. Driver records synchronise from the platform, wallet and promo top-ups are logged with their references, and every view exports.
Results
The daily close went from a spreadsheet exercise to a screen: revenue, commission, driver earnings, completed trips and cancellation rate, per day and per service. Consolidated accounting across four services replaced four separate files.
Conclusion
The interesting decision here was refusing to let the computed figures overwrite the entered ones. Keeping both side by side is what makes the tool trustworthy.
